R&D Scientist – Complix Diepenbeek

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Complix for an R&D Scientist to join our research team based in Diepenbeek.

Company description

Complix is a leading Belgian biotech company committed to the development of breakthrough therapies for treatment of important disease, such as cancer and autoimmunity. Our proprietary technology platform is based on Alphabodies, a novel protein scaffold that combines the benefits of antibodies, including high specificity and potency, with those of small molecules, such as cell penetration and high stability. We have developed Cell Penetrating Alphabodies (CPABs) that can address disease targets present in the cytosol or in the nucleus of human cells and that play an important role in disease processes, like in the development and progression of cancer, or in regulation of the immune response. CPABs act with great specificity and high affinity on targets that are considered “intractable” by currently available drug formats. As a pioneer in this emerging field, Complix aims to develop a diverse pipeline of first-in-class therapeutics with the potential to cure severe diseases with high unmet medical need.

Complix is led by an experienced management team with a track record of success in the biotech industry and is backed by a syndicate of experienced life sciences investors, through which it has raised over €35 million in equity capital to date.
